ARUNAI ENGINEERING COLLEGE HOSTS CODE FEST'25: A PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL HACKATHON

The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, CSE (AI & ML) at Arunai Engineering College successfully hosted CODE FEST'25 – International Level Hackathon 2.0, a 24-hour intensive coding event designed to foster innovation and technological advancement. The event was held in association with esteemed global partners, including IBM Career Education, IBM SkillsBuild, International Universitas STEKOM, and MAHSA University.

The grand event was inaugurated in the presence of distinguished academicians, industry professionals, and students from around the world. Dr. Joseph Teguh Santoso, Rector of STEKOM University, Indonesia, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, delivering an inspiring keynote address on the significance of collaborative learning and international technological advancements.

The event was further enriched by the presence of notable guests of honour:

• Prof. Hossam Fadel, Professor at MAHSA University, Malaysia
• Mr. Nirmalkumar P, Cloud Site Reliability Engineer at IBM, Dublin, Ireland

Key Highlights of CODE FEST'25participation

The hackathon featured an intense 24-hour coding challenge where participants from various institutions collaborated and competed to solve real-world problems. This year's competition emphasized cutting-edge domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and Cloud Computing. The event witnessed a hybrid mode of honorparticipation, enabling students from international locations to compete virtually.

The hackathon was conducted in the presence of Er. E. V. Kumaran, Vice Chairman, and was felicitated by Dr. C. Elanchezhian, Principal of Arunai Engineering College. The event was preceded by Dr. R. Sathiyaseelan, Registrar, and the welcome address was delivered by Prof. S. Noorul Hassan, HOD & Convenor.
