The shocking news released by kompas.com mass media regarding the 10 best private campuses in Central Java was well received by the entire academic community of STEKOM University. With the tagline “Lectures are fun”, STEKOM university has a vision to become a world-class university, not a figment. Considering that the UNIRANK ranking criteria referred to by kompas.com, are in line with the vision of becoming a world-class university. The ranking criteria include:
- Has been recognized and accredited by Indonesian higher education institutions.
- Offers at least a bachelor's degree, or master's and doctoral level education.
- Provide formal learning in both traditional, face-to-face, and online educational formats.
Other steps taken to become a world-class university include being active in various world-class competitions. The results did not disappoint, among others, STEKOM students managed to get world class champions in the field of servers and cloud computing using Linux.
Another step taken by the institution is to be active in various webinars cooperation activities such as “culture exchange” which is participated by various universities spread across 15 countries. The event in addition to increasing the association of university residents, also increases cooperation between universities and other universities abroad.
